My thesis bibliography

I’d like to share with you my thesis’ bibliography even if it’s a little bit outdated as made between 2004 and 2005.
I hope it will be an useful tool for students working on the same topics.

Thesis title

Comfort in the HCI:
a cognitive approach to Usability and information overload issues using Multimodal Interfaces.

Abstract

This study examined the Human-Computer interaction starting from Psychological theories and applying them to web interfaces development, for efficient projecting.
The will is to suggest an approach that could contribute in projecting cognitive artifacts coherently to the users psychological features.
“Comfortable Interaction” will be the main issue, that is a two sided approach to web interfaces development: to minimize, as possible, the users perceived cognitive load, the analysis and decision taking times; to develop minimum cognitive resource expensive interfaces.
Multimodality will be an integral part of the design approach as the possibility to use both the audio and video communication channels during the interaction.
